Approval is in essence a change request that needs to be reviewed formally either by auto-approving and thus creating a record of the change or by having other users review the changes made and accept or reject these changes.
There are two common instances that illustrate an approval.
Client information changes
You wish to edit the client’s contact information (email, phone).
To prevent abuse and insure and ensure proper procedure is followed these fields are marked as protected. In order to edit these fields, you can run a compliance track that generates an approval that subsequently will be reviewed by users in the client services role. Once accepted the information provided will be merged into the record.
Compliances statuses
When you want to mark a client with a compliance status (KYC, FICA, etc) you run the corresponding track. The system will then request the necessary compliance documents and attach these and the information to an approval that can be reviewed.
