Identity
We offer the following options to augment our Proof Of Identity Compliance Track(s):
1. Liveness Detection:
We ensure the client is human. This can be done via the Web Portal or Mobile App. This is performed by first capturing a 3D Facescan and then capturing their Passport or ID Card photo and details. It will read NFC data if available too. It will then use this data to ensure the live human is the person in the passport/ID card and proceed to step 2 or 3.
2. DHA Photo Match
We retrieve the Photo and Details via the ID Number from the DHA. We then can match this to the liveness photo above, or, using the Compliance Track, we can match this to the photo captured manually via the tracks ID Book or passport. We will also retrieve the deceased status as well.
3. DHA Name Match
We retrieve the Details and deceased status from the DHA via the ID Number and match against what is inputted (e.g. in the Compiance Track).
Bank Accounts
The Real-Time – Account (Holder) Verification Service (AVS-R) is a function catering to the verification of the match of the identification number and bank account number of an individual or a business with the account details stored within the bank’s database. Currently, the major South African Banks provide this service, in one form or another, to their respective clients. This provides a platform that allows for the verification of accounts across all participating banks, in a uniform process. The Real-Time AVS-R service returns a response from the bank between 10 seconds and 30 seconds depending on the bank. Available banks: ABSA, African Bank, Access Bank, Bidvest Bank (Business Only), Capitec, Discovery Bank, Finbond Mutual Bank, FNB, Grindrod Bank, Investec, Mercantile Bank (Business Only), Nedbank, Sasfin, Standard Bank, Tyme Bank
We also return whether they accept credits and/or debits
Addresses
We will retrieve the Client’s address information from the Credit Bureau data and match it against what is provided, ready for you to approve (or auto-approve) using our Compliance Tracks
Company Info / Directors
We will retrieve the Company Information from CIPC as well the the List of Directors and their information, ready to be added as a Related Party to your client record.
VAT
We can verify a VAT number / Company Registration number pair is valid.
Screening
In addition to our daily screening of your clients against our ever-growing list of sources for pep, criminal, HIO, sanctions etc., we integrate into the Lexis Nexus World Compliance database for ad-hoc and period screening and adverse media for higher-risk clients.
Notifications
We integrate into various SMS and SMTP providers to enable MFA as well as other notification methods
